Watchung Spring Water Equipment Troubleshooting
If you experience the following issues, try these troubleshooting tips.
Leaking Coolers:
If you think that the unit is leaking you can perform what we call a ?Bottle Test?. Tilt the bottle over while on the cooler so you can see down into the reservoir. If it is full with water, then the bottle probably has a crack or a pinhole in it and that is where the leak is coming from. If there is no water in the reservoir then the cooler is leaking. Another way you can test to see where the leak is coming from is to remove the bottle from the cooler. Note where the water level in the reservoir is; watch it for a few minutes, if the water lever drops then the cooler is definitely leaking. If the water level in the reservoir stays the same, then the leak is coming from a crack or pinhole in the bottle. If the cooler is leaking, simply call customer service at 1-800-624-0081 and request an exchange of the cooler. If it is the bottle that has a hole or crack, simply mark it as a leaker and leave it out for the driver, he will replace it for you at no charge.
No Hot Water:
Check to make sure that the outlet the unit is plugged into is working.
On the back of the unit there is a hot switch, check that the switch is in the ?ON? position.
If the hot switch is turned ?ON? and the outlet is receiving electricity, but there is still no hot water, you will need to have the cooler exchanged. Simply call customer service at 1-800-624-0081 and then can schedule the driver to come out within 24-48 hours, excluding weekends.
No Cold Water:
Check to make sure that the outlet the unit is plugged into is working.
If the water is able to flow out of the spigot then you should check the thermostat located on the back of the unit. Turn the thermostat knob clockwise, this will cause the water temperature to become colder.
If there is no water flowing out of the spigot, it is being blocked by ice. This problem usually occurs during the change in seasons. Simply unplug the unit, then turn the thermostat ? turn counter clockwise. Let the unit thaw out until the water is able to flow through the spigot and then plug the unit back in.
After all of the above steps have been taken and the water is still not cold, the unit will need to be exchanged. Just call customer service at 1-800-624-0081 and they will have driver out to exchange the unit with in 24-48 hours, excluding weekends.
Bottle and/or Cooler is Boiling:
The very first thing you should do is unplug the unit. Stop all electricity going to the unit to avoid further damage.
The unit will need to be exchanged; it is not possible for the customer to fix this problem themselves. Call customer service at 1-800-624-0081 and they will have the cooler exchanged within 24-48 hours, excluding weekends.
Water Dripping from Spigot:
Simply tighten the top of the water spigot, underneath the lever.
If the water is still dripping out, call customer service at 1-800-624-0081. They will send you out a new water spigot, that you can easily install yourself. There is no need to return the unit.
